We are so excited about Southwest Academy Learning Center and are delighted that you are interested in learning more about our school and our abilities to help children love learning and to feel lovable and capable.

Southwest Academy is a school with many unique qualities. The multisensory environment of Southwest Academy aides and encourages learning different children to enjoy learning and reach their full potential in a loving, nurturing environment. Students with dyslexia have challenges with reading decoding, spelling and written expression. Other students with related disorders may or may not have dyslexia, but do evidence difficulty with reading comprehension, math, written expression and often have struggles with organization and attention. The school provides specific instruction/remediation for students pre-school (4 years of age) through ninth grade.

We also offer a full Evaluation Center that provides psycho-educational assessments for clients from the Dallas area and beyond. Additionally, we are one of 12 certified Multisensory Teacher Training Centers in the country that specialize in the "Take Flight" curriculum developed by the Texas Scotish Rite Hospital for Children under the guidence of Dr. Lucius Waites.
